We took the lot to Virginia Water this morning. As usual, Picks, our WCS girl, the Diva, gets all sorts of debris stuck on her. She usually sits down and won’t move until one of us removes the unexpected Item in the fur area.
Today though she did stop for a good reason: A tiny thorn was stuck in her paw pad. At least she sits there holding the affected paw up. Bless her. My husband tried to pull it out whilst I held on to the 3 Setters. It didn’t help that Otis seemed concerned about Pickle and had his nose in the way.
Then we swapped and I had a go. Sadly, because of the massaging, I have really short fingernails and just couldn’t get it.
The heck, I thought. We’re not going anywhere as long as this tiny thorn is stuck in her pad. Quickest solution: I pulled it out with my teeth! Yes, I did!
I got it straight away and she was ready to walk on.
